Director of Communication (Steward of Connection)

The Director of Communication is responsible for creating the infrastructure which will allow easy contact between the Inspiration Community and its members, between members, within all groups comprising the Inspiration Community, and producing ongoing communications. We also need to maintain channels outside Inspiration Community. In order for the community to flourish it needs to be able to simply and efficiently communicate. The main areas and mediums being considered are: web site, newsletter, member database, and email lists.

I would like to see regular and dependable communications coming from the Community to the members through regular web site updates, newsletters (which can be web-based), and emails. We need to move away, for the most part, from physical mailing to conserve community resources and reduce paper usage and waste. Having an up-to-date membership database complete with email addresses will be vital to achieving this goal. Toward that end, we will be conducting a phone and mail campaign to gather email addresses and other membership information and thoughts. Teams will be formed to produce the newsletters and develop and maintain the web site.
