Statement of Practice

My practice grows out of a deep belief in the healing power that is within us all. I strive for inner exploration and guidance to unleash that power within each individual. I begin where the client is and use psychotherapeutic dialogue, breathing, energy work, feedback and education to explore the individual’s inner strength, wisdom and transformative power.

Inspiration Training
I am a spiritual seeker who has been trained in Integrative Breathing through the Inspiration Community Mystery School. My Inspiration training began in 1989. I have taken the full curriculum of classes and have served as a guide for a number of classes. I am also a certified teacher on the Inspiration faculty and have co-taught the Potential of Breath and developed a conscious eating workshop.

Other Training
I have a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland. I am a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Maryland and have over twenty years of counseling experience.

Interests
I was a member of the Heathcote Community for over 14 years which taught me a great deal about conflict resolution, consensus, and communication. I am a retired La Leche League Leader and have provided breast feeding support to new mothers for over 15 years. I am an active member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
